We are searching for friendly new faces to join our Snowsports team for the coming winter season. We are looking for both experienced and those who love to  snowboard and would like to share their passion with others. We hire for attitude and we'll train you on all of the rest! It's about quality and providing an amazing experience for our guest, inspiring them to return again and again. We take pride in our Snowsports programs and our resort!

Your typical day as a Snowboard Instructor would include reporting to line-up at a pre-scheduled time, meeting & greeting guests, teaching & improving basic skiing skills while providing memorable experience, participating in additional training/clinics to improve your personal skiing skills or teaching skills, and other assigned tasks as needed.

Job Qualifications:

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS - For all SnowSports positions

Must demonstrate excellent communications and “people” skills; must love dealing with people. Must be adaptable and willing to learn, grow, and improve. You must maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm on the job. Must be able to work long and irregular hours under stress, sometimes with less than optimal “splits,” in all weather conditions, with difficult people, and maintain a cheerful, professional attitude. You must be willing to work holidays and busy periods without burnout or moodiness. You must be a team player.

Work schedule - Commitment to your calendar; Sign up for your shifts at the start of the winter and fulfill your commitment. Sign up for Full Time, Part Time, or Peak Time:        

  • Part time - 28 work days December-March, including weekends and holiday periods (February vacation week is a must). At least 14 years of age and in high school.
  • Peak time - 20 days includes Christmas, Martin Luther King Jr. and February holiday periods and some Saturdays.

Ability - Intermediate Skiing/Riding ability or better (comfortable on Blue terrain).

Training - Attend a 4 day training program as a new instructor. Your training period may be shorter if you have had previous experience in SSS. Training typically takes place on weekends in early December.

Physical Condition - Teaching skiing and snowboarding is physically demanding. We strongly encourage all candidates to be in good, physical condition: both strong and flexible. A knee health evaluation is provided by the company and required for all new hires. Instructor positions require the ability to regularly stand, talk, hear, and see with good depth perception; Frequent walking in ski/snowboard boots, including uphill on snowy surfaces; Occasional lifting and moving up to 50 lbs; Ability to ski/snowboard as noted above; Ability to work outdoors in winter weather conditions.
