Terrain Park Groomer Operator
Hours Available:Seasonal- Full Time or Part Time
  
Job Responsibilities:
Cranmore is known for its quality snow surfaces, and is hiring experienced Groomer Operators to join its team.  We are seeking experienced Terrain Park Groomer Operators maintain Cranmore's terrain parks, terrain-based learning, and other snow terrain features throughout the resort, offering our guests the safest, most ski-able, desirable and fun terrain possible. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.  Full time and part time opportunities available.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Operate grooming equipment in accordance with company policy & procedures; adhering to safety standards, and outputting high quality snow surfaces to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Follow grooming plans and record information as necessary (shift reports, maintenance requests, etc.)
- Maintains an awareness of surroundings and safest way to navigate the equipment by evaluating all directions and safety information available at all times.
- Completes all tasks safely with no damage to equipment or to areas of work by evaluating performance as well as feedback from crew leaders, team and supervisor.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the equipment; how it operates and the safest way to operate the equipment.
- Maintains a focus on quality of product, awareness of hazards both personally and to the equipment.
- The proficient use of vehicle attachments like compactor bars, tillers, and blades.
- Maintain the assigned equipment in a routine manner.
- Keep records of operations, including equipment breakdowns and accidents.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
- 3-5 years heavy equipment operator experience required & a valid drivers license.  Prior experience with Prinoth and Pisten Bully groomers a plus.
- Experience maintaining terrain park features, terrain-based learning, lift ramps, tubing parks, and other snow features is preferred.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to operate heavy and light equipment, ability to follow directions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
